baji Cricket Betting — Every Match from BPL to T20 World Cup
baji brings cricket fans in Bangladesh a range of markets including match winner, toss, top batsman and live in-play. Bet across all three formats — T20, ODI and Test.
Cricket's Three Formats and Your Favourite Tournaments
To understand cricket betting, it helps to know the differences between formats. T20 matches finish quickly — just 20 overs — so odds can shift from ball to ball. One big over or a rapid cluster of wickets can change the entire picture. Bangladesh's most popular tournament, the BPL, is played in this format, featuring local players alongside international stars.
ODI cricket is played over 50 overs. Team strategy and batting order play a bigger role here. Run rate and wickets in hand during the middle overs shape the betting market, creating good opportunities for in-play betting.
Test cricket is a five-day match. A draw is a real possibility, so the market usually offers three outcomes — Team A wins, Team B wins, or a draw. Pitch conditions, weather and the pace of play across five days make Test odds the most complex of the three formats.
The world's best players take part in the IPL, making its betting market more active than almost any other tournament. For Bangladesh bettors, the Tigers' matches at the ICC T20 World Cup attract the most interest. baji covers every match across all these tournaments.
Football and Other Sports Betting
Alongside cricket, baji also offers football betting. The biggest difference with football is that a draw is a genuine possibility in every match, so the market always includes three outcomes — win, loss and draw. In T20 and ODI cricket, a draw is generally not possible.
Handicap betting is very popular in football — a goal advantage is given to the weaker side to level the market. The cricket equivalent is the run line or point spread, where one team is given a set number of runs as a head start.
Markets are also available for kabaddi, volleyball and tennis, but cricket and football attract the most betting interest in Bangladesh. For full rules on all types of betting, read the Terms and Conditions.
Cricket vs Football — Key Differences
Cricket betting markets are far more varied: you can place separate bets on wickets, runs, overs and partnerships. Football markets are mostly focused on goals and match results.
Three-Way Betting in Football
Win, loss and draw — all three outcomes are available in the betting market. Handicap and goal line markets are also very active.
Popular Cricket Betting Markets
baji cricket betting offers a variety of markets. Below is a brief introduction to seven common ones.
Match Winner
Bet on which team will win the match — a straightforward market. T20 offers two outcomes; Test offers three. For example, if you bet on Team B to beat Team A, and Team B wins, you receive a return based on the stated odds.
Toss Betting
Bet on which team will win the coin toss before the match starts. With only two possible outcomes, odds are usually close to 50-50. A simple market with a quick result.
Top Batsman
Bet on which batsman will score the most runs in a specific innings. The form of a team's top-order batters and pitch conditions play a major role in this market.
Total Runs Over/Under
Bet on whether the total runs in a match or a specific innings will be more (over) or fewer (under) than a set number. Example: if the line is set at 170, a score of 171 or more wins the over bet.
Multi Bet (Multiple Selections)
Combine the results of several matches into one bet. If all selections are correct, the odds multiply and your return increases — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost. A detailed example is in the odds section below.
Next Wicket / Runs in the Next Over
During a live match, these markets let you bet on how many runs will be scored in a specific over or who will take the next wicket. They are only available in in-play betting and require quick decisions.
Series Winner
Bet on which team will win a two or three-match series overall — you can place this bet before the series begins. The result of the first match directly affects the odds.
How to Read Odds Formats
baji shows three odds formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability, just written differently.
| Format | Team A to win (৳1,000 stake) | Return |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | ৳3,000 (৳2,000 profit + ৳1,000 original stake) |
| Fractional | 2/1 | ৳3,000 (same result) |
| American | +200 | ৳3,000 (same result) |
In the example above, if Team A wins, a ৳1,000 bet returns ৳3,000 in total — ৳2,000 profit plus the original ৳1,000 stake. If Team A loses, the full ৳1,000 is gone.
Now suppose Team B is the favourite. Their odds are 1.80 in decimal, 4/5 in fractional and -125 in American. A negative American odds figure shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100. On a ৳1,000 bet, if Team B wins, you receive ৳1,800 in total — a profit of ৳800.
In a multi bet with three selections, the odds are multiplied together. Example: 1.50 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.13 (approximately). That means a ৳100 stake returns ৳513 if all three selections are correct — but if even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Which format is easiest?
Most bettors in Bangladesh find decimal odds the simplest — just multiply your stake by the odds to get your total return.
Live In-Play Betting — How Odds Change During a Match
Live betting is the most fast-moving part of cricket betting. Odds that were set before the match update instantly when a wicket falls or a big over is bowled.
Say Team A is batting in a T20 match, scoring 80 runs in 10 overs with only 1 wicket down. At that point, their odds of winning will shorten because they are in a strong position. But if three more wickets fall in the next two overs, the odds will flip the other way.
In Test cricket, pitch deterioration, rain interruptions and fading evening light all affect the odds. In in-play betting, decisions must be made fast because markets can close within seconds.
The baji App shows live scores and odds together, making it easy to do in-play betting from your mobile.
Practical Tips for Cricket Betting
A few things to keep in mind so betting stays enjoyable.
- Set a fixed budget and stay within it — betting is for entertainment.
- Get familiar with one format first. Once you understand T20 markets, move on to ODI or Test.
- Adding more selections to a multi bet increases the potential return but also reduces the chance of all of them being correct.
- In live betting, read the situation before placing a bet rather than acting on impulse.
- If you keep losing on the same market, avoid placing larger bets to try to recover the loss.
